Description

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program with an active certification.
  • Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
  • Registration with State registry required.

Description

The Food and Beverage Assistant Director is responsible for the overall operation, coordination, appearance and maintenance of all dining areas, ensuring that courteous, efficient services are delivered which meet all sanitary requirements as well as Federal and State Regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience in “front of the house operations” within restaurant, hotel, club or similar institution.
  • Serve Safe Certification required.
  • Experience in food service operations of a health care setting preferred but not required.
  • C.D.M. (Certified Dietary Manager) certification must be achieved after employment.
  • Prefer Post-Secondary Education in hospitality management or dining room operations.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Social Skills in order to work effectively with residents, patients, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, subordinates and other outside contacts.
  • Light to moderate physical effort 90% of the time. Must be able to stand and walk 90% of the work day; ability to stoop, bend and stretch frequently; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Must be able to see, hear, and speak.
  • Interpret and explain menus, answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
  • Communicate with, understand, empathize with, work with and be tolerant of residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and subordinates.
  • Experience with performing clinical assessments on residents, meeting with Care Plan Team, performing input on MDS preferred.

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant (HRAA) assists the Human Resources Director with clerical duties such as data entry, running reports, and assisting employees with basic HR needs. The HRAA must represent Pomperaug Woods in a positive light at all times, and provide exceptional customer service to the staff.

Qualifications

  • Communicate efficiently in English, using proper grammar, in a pleasant manner.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience at an intermediate level required.
  • Two or more years of experience in an administrative support position is required
  • Experience with office equipment such as a high capacity copy machine and postage machine is preferred.
  • Accurately complete a multiplicity of routine tasks, following specific instructions carefully and general instructions completely.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching and carrying items throughout the day.
