Bending, stooping, reaching, and balancing frequently throughout the work day.
Frequently handle industrial cleaning chemicals.

The R.N. Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of nursing care in the Health Center. Participates in care planning meetings and quality improvement activities, models and promotes Pomperaug Woods CARES program.
Qualifications
Active Connecticut nursing license.
Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing.
Supervisory experience preferred. Good computer skills preferred.
Strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office software.
Geriatric nursing experience preferred.
Demonstrates sound judgment during emergency situations.
Read and calculate medication dosages frequently.
Communicate effectively (verbal, written), show compassion and maintain professionalism
Maintain confidentiality at all times with confidential data such as resident personal and medical records, etc.

The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving meals to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus. The responsibilities include setting up for the meal service, serving the meal and cleaning up following the meal service.
Qualifications
Previous experience in nursing home food service is helpful but not required.
Plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
Work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers with courtesy, tact and graciousness.

Description
The Café Attendant is responsible for seating, taking orders, serving food, handling cash transactions or charges, and reconciliation of the cash register. Some light food prep such as salads, setting up and cleaning up continental breakfast, as well as working closely with the cook to ensure food is prepared and served timely. There is some general cleaning such as wiping down tables, counters and maintaining a sanitary condition in the café.
Qualifications
Certified in Foodservice sanitation by an accredited establishment, or willing to become certified after hire.
Complete tasks accurately in a fast paced environment.
Speaks, reads and writes fluently in English.
Communicates effectively and performs simple arithmetic.

Qualifications
Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred but will train.
Interpret and explain menu items, answer questions about the menu and ingredients in the menu items, coordinate meal service process and understands requests.
Work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers with courtesy, tact and graciousness.
